I found g diapers almost too late for us.
I loved the idea of cloth diapers, but I HATE doing laundry and I didn't really like the idea of doing more poopy laundry than I was already having to do. G diapers are a cloth outside with a biodegradeable inside. The inserts are decently priced and will break down in a landfill in 15 days instead of years like a regular diaper.
They say that they are flushable, but BEWARE! Our old septic system could not handle it and we ended up finding that out the hard way through a phone call to a plumber and almost 2 days without a toilet. ick.

My mom found this fabulous play dough recipe when I was a kid and I have fond memories of both making it and playing with it!
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1 cup dry milk
In bowl, mix peanut butter, honey, and 1/2 cup of the dry milk with your hands. Keep adding the rest of the dry milk until the dough feels soft and playful. Shape in any form. You can add cocoa and raisins for flavor and decoration.
Delicious and fun!

I have a fabulous playdough recipe that I just LOVE.
2 cups of flour
1 cup of salt
2 cups of water
1 teaspoon of food coloring
2 tablespoons of oil
4 teaspoons of cream of tartar
food coloring as desired
1/2 teaspoon of oil of wintergreen (optional)
Stir all ingredients over low heat until a ball forms.
It is fabulous, soft playdough and you know exactly what your kids are eating (becuase you know they will!)
