Mei Tai
Bella Slings is now offering the Bella Mei Tai!
A Mei Tai serves a similar purpose as a wrap, but doesn't require learning how to wrap the fabric. Mei Tais allow you to evenly distribute the weight across both shoulders as you carry your baby, so they are awesome for the longer trips. I made myself a Mei Tai when my daughter was about 8 months, so I don't have any direct experience with newborns and Mei Tais.
I have finally settled on a design that I really love
for a Mei Tai. It has the shoulder straps at an angle to prevent gaping and is double sided for extra strength and durability.
They come with a matching solid colored reverse, or you can add a patterned reverse for just $10 more.
Mei Tais are a great alternative to a wrap. They are simpler and less bulky, but still provide the great support for your baby as well as the two shouldered support for you!
