Bella Slings

Handcrafted Baby Slings

Types of Bella Slings

I am constantly searching for new baby sling types that look fun, easy to use, and functional.  I recently added the Bella Podaegi to the line-up.  It is a Korean-inspired design that is very easy to use and great for back carry.

Bella Slings started with the basic native sling, or pouch sling.  It is what initially got me hooked on babywearing and is a must-have for every Momma (in my opinion :)  I wanted my native to be different, so I added my shoulder strip which makes putting your Bella Native on quick and easy.

As I got more into babywearing I wanted a sling that I could wear my daughter for our long walks and trips into Tampa Bay.  I came across wraps on the internet and with a few tweaks the Bella Wrap was born.  It took a little more practice, but before long we both LOVED it.

After deciding to launch Bella Slings for real I realized that I needed to offer all of the basic slings.  Ring Slings were the next on my list - a very simple design, but so great because of the adjustable sizing.

I was a little skeptical about Mei Tais because I loved my wrap so very much.  A babywearing friend of mine allowed me to use hers and I got hooked.  It was a little quicker than a wrap, but gave you that same support.

When I was browsing through the history of babywearing I came across the Korean podaegi.  I loved the simple design and the opportunity to use some great fabrics.  I decided to add it on and I have found that there aren't too many people in the US making these, so it turned out to be a great niche market.
